I recently got this lip set from Sephora while I was visiting the Broadway branch in NYC. Being a huge fan of neutral lip shades, I couldn't resist grabbing this off the shelf! Here what it includes:

Sephora's Collection Rouge Infusions The Neutrals in #19Peony : A gorgeous lip gloss that doesn't feel sticky but applies smoothly and has a fab pop of a deep pink colour.

Make Up Forever's Artist #PiexiGloss202 : This light coloured pink lip gloss is my least favourite of all the products in the kit! Moreso because the colour clashes with my tan skin tone and feels sticky and goey.

Tarte's Amazonian Butter Lipstick in #CoralBlossom : A beautiful netrual pink that is smooth and silky with a hint of glitter.

Marc Jacobs le Marc lip crème in #Ja'taime : This is probably my fave and most used product! It has such a vibrant pinky/red colour to it! It's prefect for both a daytime and evening look.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip in #Lolita : This matte lip gloss is my go to everyday lipstick! It has a lovely neutral undertone but still gives a touch of a dark brown colour which complements my tan skin colour perfectly! And my fave thing of all has to be the fact that this colour will not budge and has super long lasting (check out our previous posts on instagram if you want to see what the colour looks like on my lips).

Let me know if you have tried the set or any of these individually, what do you think of them?

Girly catch up lunch today was at Sushi Samba. If you love views, rooftops and sushi this place is a must!
Since the restaurant is fine dining we knew we had to order quite a few dishes considering the portion sizes were relitavely small.

For starters, we ordered salt and pepper calamari & shrimp tempura (both super tasty especially the shrimp!).
For mains we went for the sea bass tempura, which literally melted in your mouth. Another main was the mushroom tobanyaki (very strong mushroom taste), perfect for all mushroom lovers.

Next was the sushi platter. We got the samba london, yoyogi & tokyo sky tree. Amazing. So flavourful and fresh.
Also, as an extra side dish we tried the beef sliders (enough for 1 person), which to our surprise were HALAL! It wasn't on the menu, but thankfully we asked and.. the meat was perfectly cooked and very juicy.

For desserts, we got the assorted mochi (good but the other desserts were better), chocolate banana cake (mouth-watering, gooey and chocolatey), with love from rio (you'll love it if you love the taste of coffee) & the passion fruit cake (wow, the flavours of the cake, ganache and ice cream were all so refreshingly vibrant).
The excellent quality of service definitely enriched our experience - especially since we turned up late to our booking and they still held our table!

As a bonus we happened to be there during sunset and the view from their bar/lounge was UNREAL. Would recommend even just going to the restaurant just for the view, that's how good it was!!
We will be visiting again soon!

These weird looking toothbrush makeup brushes seem to be the latest product to hit the makeup industry, from leading celebs and beauty bloggers raving about them.  As soon as I came across it I wanted it, and have been lusting over it ever since! I first came across one of these brushes from MAC, called the MAC Oval 6 Brush.

On my recent holiday to New York, I rushed straight into Mac searching for the famous brush, thinking that it may be cheaper, but to my disappointment it wasn’t (meh!). I should have known better, especially as this product has just hit the markets. In the UK MAC are selling the brushes for £34.50 and $45 in America. I did have a feel of the brush and it felt nothing short of amazing and that was without even using it, but at the time felt it was just too much of an expensive purchase.

However, I was lucky enough to attend the Olympia Makeup Expo, where I came across the same brush but in a different makeup brand, called ‘Cailyn’.  It looked exactly the same and felt the same as the MAC brush. So you can imagine as soon as I saw it I wanted it!! And then when the sales member said it was £20, I literally snatched it out of his hands. The brush is called the: ‘O! WOW BRUSH’ and is plastered all over their website so you can’t miss it.

Since then, and after using the brush on several occasions, I can’t stop raving about it, and neither can my family and friends.  Many thought I had changed my foundation, as my makeup looked so flawless! It is the ideal foundation brush! The synthetic fibres allow for that flawless finish, and ultimate precision.
They are comfortable to hold, and because of the angle and the size of the brush it allows you to get to all those awkward areas and angles. Most importantly, these type of brushes be it the cheaper or more expensive version save money in the long run, as the tight-knit synthetic fibres on the brush keeps all the foundation on top of the brush, therefore not sinking into the brush fibres, and therefore allowing you to use less of your foundation.

Not only that but my makeup routine has been cut down dramatically, as this gives you ultimate precision, and the soft brushes allow your foundation to be applied much more evenly and smoothly in almost half the time of a standard sponge or brush.

One thing that the Cailyn brush does have, that the MAC doesn’t is a handy little cap that sits neatly on top of the actual brush. This is obviously great for hygienic purposes, and allows all the fibres to keep neatly intact.
The brush also states its multifunctioning purposes. It works with: blush, foundation, bronzer, contour powder, moisturizers, and primers.
However, I have not tried the brush for these purposes, so if this is something you would be interested in, leave a comment and I will love to have a go, and to see if the results are just as good!

To sum it all up the Cailyn brush is inexpensive, multi-functioning and gives your foundation a fantastic finish! It applies foundation beautifully, and it definitely gives a natural, even, and smooth finish.

Last weekend the change in "season" really hit hard, with a mix of weather conditions. Severe sandstorms, wind, humidity and strong sunshine all at the SAME TIME!

Check out our outfit of the day below to see what we wore to stay casual for the weekend yet appropriate for the weather changes.

Sana's OOTD

Top: Stradivarius  |  Jeans: New Look  |  Shoes: Primark
Sunglasses: Unknown (Stall in Shoreditch, London)

Safa's OOTD

Top: H&M  |  Jeans: Cotton  |  Shoes: Cotton
Sunglasses: Unknown (Stall in Shoreditch, London)
For anyone who has the pleasure of living in London, knows exactly how beautiful and predictable the weather can be (excuse the sarcasm lol). So what on earth do you wear when its cloudy, miserable and raining cats and dogs outside?! I want to keep warm but still be fashionable. This last minute outfit I feel fits in quite perfectly with the weather, is keeping on trend and is a nice transition outfit from summer into autumn.

Right, let’s get down to the nitty gritty and some details of the outfit.

  • Waistcoat: River Island (£50).
Now I have been looking for an excuse to wear this gorgeous piece, and I feel this waistcoat was a perfect finish to the outfit. I mean who doesn’t love a waistcoat? Again it stays on trend, but most importantly keeps you warm with its thick material, and still allows you to rock what you wearing underneath too. I mean who wants to carefully pick out a top, only to be covered by a coat?! I also love the way the beautiful nude tone of the waistcoat gives a very subtle yet luxurious finish too!

  • Jumper & White T-shirt: H&M (£10 and £12).
I don’t know about you guys but I can be so hopeless at layering. But, I love how the addition of the white t-shirt makes the outfit and brown plain jumper pop out, making the overall look a lot more interesting, giving it that casual chic look.

  • Jegging: New Look (£12.99)
Jeggings have to be another one of favs! So comfy yet so simply and stylish. Did I mention they are comfortable? These jeans fit my legs nicely and hug my curves (and belly) in the right way too!

  • Accessories
My main and daily accessories consist of a Michael Kors watch and silver bracelet from Topshop (both worn together). I am also wearing Primark shoes and a choker with pearl bead finishing. Last but not least this outfit was completed by my tan tones Michael Kors bag. It complimented the outfit perfectly with the different shades of nudes and browns.

Okay so this is a really quick and easy tutorial, and personally one of my favourites. Not only does this allow me to make my phone unique and stand out from everyone else's but since it is so easy, it means I can always switch up the pattern whenever I feel like it - which is often!

Here's what you'll need:

I found this amazing turquoise/mint and gold patterned indian paper in paperchase and I fell in love with it - it's not too bright or shiny so it was perfect for my case. As for the clear case itself, I just found it on ebay for a couple of pounds - they are usually quite inexpensive online. Click here to see the one I used.

Since this is realtively quick - I would recommend getting a few different patterns and so you can make multiple phone cases so you can easily switch up the designs or even match them with your outfits.

The end of summer is upon us, this means the relaxing, long holidays in London have come to an end. The sense of reality starts kicking in when you know you have to wake up at 6am to catch your flight back to Dubai on a 7 hour flight. Ugh.

Don't get me wrong I love travelling but wearing tight skinny jeans would only lead up to a lot of fidgeting and being stuck in uncomfortable positions for the rest of the flight. I for one believe in travelling comfortably, but the struggle is how do you create a balance between being comfy and chic?

I believe this outfit is the perfect mixture of both these styles. The black top allowed me to be more creative with what I would pair with it as it's a universal colour, as well as the long sleeve allows it to be culturally appropriate for Dubai.

I opted for the 'printed pant' to travel in as it's loose but still fitted. Considering Zara trousers are expensive, I luckily bought these on sale. The black and white aztec/geometric print, fit the colour palette well and the cotton material allowed me to sit comfortably on the plane.

These espadrilles took me FOREVER to find! They are in so much demand due to its popularity so when I saw them I had to buy them!! The quality is amazing, it's light on my feet and it has lasted me so long.

I hope this gave you some inspiration for your next travel outfit :)

I have been slightly obsessed with levitation photography recently. Ever since I figured out how easy it is to create these stunning pictures, I have been experimenting with different poses, styles and backgrounds; so I thought I would create this tutorial so you can have some fun creating some mind-bending pictures like this one:

One of my most recent leviation pictures on instagram (@aneesa92)

Step 1: The actual photo taking

  • You just need to take two pictures - One of just the empty background, and the second is with you in it, standing on whatever you have that will elevate you (a chair/ ladder etc.)
  • It is best to use a tripod to take the pictures - just to make sure the angle and framing of both of the pictures are exactly the same. This will just make it easier when you stack them in photoshop later.
  • TOP TIP: Try to make the picture look more natural and believable by remembering to do simple things such as tip-toeing so it looks more like you are floating rather than just standing. The final result will look more authentic and less photoshopped this way.

Step 2: Editing the pictures in Photoshop

Yes, there is photoshop involved in this tutorial but do not be alarmed! I am no expert at photoshop and have a pretty basic understanding of it, so if I can do this, it is definitely beginner friendly!

With the brush tool just start rubbing out whatever you were standing on in the original picture (a chair in this case). By changing the size of the brush you can use a bigger size to remove the bulk of the item and use the smaller brush size to be more precise and careful to erase the areas around the body - for the more precise job it's also easier to zoom into the picture so you can be careful and really see what you are erasing.

Hope you have fun creating some awesome levitation pictures of your own!

Okay, I don't know about anyone else but sliders and burger have been my obsession over the summer. I think I've tried almost every burger/slider around. So... no surprise that checking out Slider Station was a MUST!

Located at the end of Jumeriah in the new Galleria Mall (filled with many new cafés I need to try out) is the new hotspot in town. I went with a few of my family members and OH-EM-GEE this place had a 2 hour waiting list (what?!). But still being as food obsessed as I am, we hung out around the area and waited for our call time.

The decor is very quirky. A very rustic/chic restaurant, with drain pipes moulded into looking like a fancy expensive looking chandelier. We were kindly seated by the staff and quickly ordered our food. So many slider options, burgers, and other sharing platters... it was hard to pick what we wanted.

The service overall was super fast! We got our food immediately, and they even offered us a plate of complimentary "Commando Fries". I usually hate having a sweet taste mixed with my savoury foods, but these were addictive. Covered in spicy mayo, cheese, sriracha sauce, fried onions, jalapeños and so many other toppings.

As my main, I opted for the "Dangerous Slider". This was a slider that was made with a RED bun... yes, RED. It had fried chicken with spicy aioli, jalapeños and lettuce. The slider was very very good, it tasted spicy and fresh. However, was disappointed with the portion size. I was expecting some fries to come along with the slider, or there to be a few them to be given.

Dangerous Slider
For dessert (yes we were full, but who can say no to dessert, right?) we ordered an "Oreo Midnight Pancake". Definitely my favourite thing about this restaurant!!! It came with a stack of 6 oreo pancakes dripping in milk chocolate sauce with caramel sauce between each layer and a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top. The pancakes were divineeee... just melting in your mouth.. and there was just SO MUCH chocolatey goodness on one plate <3
Oreo Midnight Pancakes

I have to say, this place does live up to the "what you see is what you get" rule because the food was too picture perfect to eat. The food was amazing as well as the service, however, the pricing and portions bring it down. Also, the waiting experience could be improved. Overall, it was great and would recommend you try this place at least once... even if it is just for the dessert!

As online buying trends in the Middle East have accelerated in the past 5 years or so, the GlamBox comes as the Middle East's equivalent of the GlossyBox or the Birchbox. The concept is a monthly beauty box delivered to your doorstep. The box will often contain samples (4-5) and/or full sized beauty products (hair, body, face etc) from an assortment of hand picked brands for the subscriber to try.

Having received my first box in July filled with Givenchy (!!!) products, I was excited to get my hands on the August box. It contained the following products:

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil (Nourishing Oil Replacement) 125ml
This has got to be the least exciting product in this box for me as I'm not a huge fan of oil replacement products. I have used Pantene and Wella in the past and found that they made my hair extremely oily even after washes and gave me lots of dandruff. That said, I am going to give this a try and see how it goes.

Bliss Body Butter in Blood Orange and White Pepper (paraben free) 50ml
This smells D-I-V-I-N-E! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love body and hand creams. This has a very strong and distinct citrus scent that lingers on your skin for ages. I haven't tried any Bliss products in the past so excited about this.

Bobby Brown Longwear Eye Pencil in ‘Jet’
Bobbi Brown has got to be a make up brand that hardly ever disappoints with its super pigmented, long lasting and generally great quality products. I have only just swatched this and it was super soft and not easily smudged. The test still lies in testing this on my eyes since I have oily skin and pencil products usually smear very easily.

Flower By Kenzo L’Elixir (Eau De Parfum) 4ml
Saving the best for the last, this has definitely got to be my favourite product from this month's box. Incidentally, I haven't tried Kenzo parfumed before and this was the perfect way to get introduced to them. I always prefer either really fresh floral fragrances for summer or slightly musky ones as winter approaches, never gravitating towards fruity or sweet ones at all.
This one has the perfect combination of powdery and floral tones with wild hawthorne, rose, violet, white musk and vanilla amongst some of the ingredients.
With the perfect size to fit in a bag, I'm really looking forward carrying this everywhere.

Phew! That was an in-depth look into the August GlamBox and what I thought about it. Would love to hear your thoughts on the products and some reviews if you have used any of them before.
